Fond du Lac Reporter: Fond du Lac, Mayville entries for Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest advance into top eight

FOND DU LAC – Fond du Lac County’s contenders in the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest have made it into the top eight.

Marine engineering manufacturer Mercury Marine won over Stoughton Trailers, and Mayville Engineering Co. Outdoors, which makes shotshell reloaders and clay target machines, beat out Ki Mobility from Stevens Point, according to Monday’s Facebook Live announcement from Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.

The contest, hosted by the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group, features the top creations of Wisconsin’s manufacturing industry. It started with 150 products, which narrowed down to 16 in a popular vote that was announced Sept. 21.
