Oshkosh Northwestern: Three Oshkosh-area manufacturers are in the running for the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin award

OSHKOSH – Three businesses in the greater Oshkosh area are up for a chance to win the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group puts on the annual event by gathering interesting items made all across the state.

Manufacturers that people can vote for in in the Oshkosh area are:

  • Billetspin, a company based in Berlin that makes tops
  • Lakeside Plastics, an Oshkosh-based company that makes plastic traffic cones
  • Oshkosh Designs, a Winneconne-based company that makes custom flooring for homes and businesses

The first round of voting for the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin will run through 5 p.m. Friday. The second round will begin Saturday. Voters may cast their ballots online at madeinwis.com.

“WMC and Johnson Financial Group are excited to get together for the fifth year to find out what the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin is,” said Nick Novak, vice president of communications and marketing for WMC. “We have a diverse manufacturing industry in this state, and this contest gives us the opportunity to not only highlight all the cool things we make here but also talk about the great careers available in manufacturing.”
