Astro Garden® leverages the expertise accumulated from our three advanced growth systems currently operating on the International Space Station (ISS) in partnership with NASA: Veggie, XROOTS™, and the Advanced Plant Habitat (APH). Astro Garden is a large-scale vegetable production system designed to support prolonged human habitation in space. It embodies several key advancements including scalability, sustainability and automation. These systems will provide crew with fresh food to augment current food systems and deliver an alternate means to augment life support functions such as water purification, CO2 removal, and O2 production.
