The Freeman: Waukesha County-made products compete for ‘Coolest Thing’

A large variety of items made in Waukesha County are competing to be named the “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” as part of the annual contest held by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.

In total, there were 130 nominees for the 9th annual contest. Voting started Monday to determine the top 16 products that will compete in a bracket-style tournament called Manufacturing Madness. During each of the rounds, the public is encouraged to vote once per day, per device at www.madeinwis.com. Ultimately, the 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin will be crowned at WMC’s Business Day in Madison on Oct. 17.
